Access Livelihoods Foundation

Established in 2005, Access Livelihoods is a nationally recognised social enterprise working to build sustainable and inclusive livelihoods for economically disadvantaged communities through women’s entrepreneurship, producer institutions, digital financial inclusion, agriculture, skilling, and enterprise development. Our vision is to improve the livelihoods of 1 million economically disadvantaged households by March 2028 by enabling inclusive economic ecosystems that create dignity, opportunity, and shared prosperity. Over two decades, Access Livelihoods has worked across 26 states, reaching 2.5+ million women, and currently operates across 7 states, supporting nearly 5 lakh women annually. Its work has been recognised by NITI Aayog, the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and the Ministry of External Affairs, with innovations replicated internationally through GIZ. The organisation is also a recipient of the Best Incubator Award under Start-up India (2021). Digital Financial Inclusion (DFI) is a flagship initiative, reaching 2,500+ villages through 1,150+ Digital Sakhis and impacting nearly 3 million people through digital finance, financial capability, women-led enterprises, and community-owned institutions that strengthen long-term economic resilience.
