Who Reviews Scores
- Primary review: PATVAAR verification analyst reviews all document checks and automated scoring outputs
- Secondary review: Scores above 85 or below 50 are reviewed by a second analyst before publication
- Override policy: Any analyst can flag a score for senior review - overrides are logged with reasons
Re-Scoring Schedule
Scores are refreshed every 90 days. NGOs are notified 30 days in advance. The following trigger an immediate re-score:
- New audited financials submitted
- Change in compliance status (12A/80G renewed or lapsed)
- NGO appeals current score
- PATVAAR receives credible adverse information about the NGO
NGOs can request one free out-of-cycle re-score per year. During beta (2026), all re-scores are free.
Score Suppression Policy
A published score may be temporarily hidden from funder search in these circumstances:
- Documents submitted for re-verification are under review
- An appeal has been filed and is under active consideration
- Credible adverse information is being investigated
- The NGO has requested a voluntary hold
Suppressed scores are restored within 7 working days or when the triggering condition is resolved.
