1. Who We Are
PATVAAR ("we", "our", "the platform") is operated by Sandeep Kumar, based at Netaji Subhash Place, Delhi 110034, India. We can be reached at hello@patvaar.com. PATVAAR is currently in Beta. This policy governs all data collected through the website at patvaar.com and related services.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account data: Name, email address, phone number and organisation details provided during registration.
- Verification documents: Registration certificates, financial statements, 12A/80G certificates and other documents submitted for NGO verification. These are stored securely and are not visible to other platform users.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used and actions taken on the platform, collected for platform improvement purposes.
- Communication data: Messages sent through our contact form or email, retained for support and audit purposes.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and device information, collected automatically for security and performance monitoring.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To operate and improve the PATVAAR platform and its features
- To verify NGO credentials and compute Trust Scores
- To facilitate connections between NGOs and CSR partners, where both parties have consented
- To send transactional communications (verification updates, account notifications)
- To respond to support enquiries and contact form submissions
- To comply with applicable Indian law and regulatory requirements
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your verification documents with CSR partners or any third party. Verified summary profile information (organisation name, state, impact themes, Trust Score) is made available to registered platform users as part of the core platform functionality.
We may share data with service providers who assist us in operating the platform (such as email delivery and hosting services), under confidentiality obligations. We will disclose data if required by Indian law or a valid court order.
5. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Verification documents are stored in encrypted, access-controlled storage environments. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text. We regularly review our security practices and update them as the platform matures.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Verification documents are retained for a minimum of 3 years after the last verification, in compliance with applicable recordkeeping requirements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by writing to hello@patvaar.com. Some data may be retained in anonymised form for analytical purposes.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, write to hello@patvaar.com with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 10 working days.
8. Cookies
PATVAAR uses session cookies for authentication and functional purposes. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect platform functionality.
9. Changes to This Policy
We will notify registered users of material changes to this policy by email. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
