India has millions of NGOs doing important work. India has thousands of crores in CSR funding looking for credible partners. And yet the two cannot reliably find each other. PATVAAR is our answer to that.
India has over 3.3 million registered NGOs — one of the largest civil society ecosystems in the world. Yet fewer than 1% have any standardised, publicly accessible credibility signal that a funder can rely on.
CSR teams at major corporations spend weeks on due diligence for each implementation partner, relying on personal referrals, WhatsApp groups and gut instinct. The process is slow, inconsistent and heavily biased towards organisations with existing networks — not necessarily the most effective ones.
Meanwhile, thousands of capable NGOs working in India's most underserved districts remain invisible to funders — not because their work is poor, but because they have no institutional presentation and no connection to the networks where funding decisions are made.
PATVAAR is being built to fix this. Not with a directory. Not with a donation button. But with infrastructure — the kind of verified, structured, data-driven infrastructure that the sector has never had before.
The problem was obvious to anyone who had spent time in the sector. Excellent NGOs, invisible to funders. Credible CSR teams, overwhelmed by due diligence. Impact, unmeasured and unacknowledged. The infrastructure to fix this simply did not exist.
I founded PATVAAR in 2026 with a single conviction: that the disconnect between capable NGOs and purposeful capital is not a problem of intent — it is a problem of infrastructure. Trust has no standard. Verification has no system. Impact has no shared language.
PATVAAR is our attempt to build that infrastructure — one verified organisation at a time. We are at the beginning. The platform is in Beta. Every verification, every Trust Score, every data point is being built with the same question: can we stand behind this?
We are not trying to be a donation platform. We are not trying to be a charity aggregator. We are building the equivalent of a credit bureau for India's impact sector — rigorous, transparent and built to last.
If you believe this matters, join us early. Your feedback during Beta will shape what PATVAAR becomes.
Join the Beta →PATVAAR began as a response to a structural gap in India's impact sector. Every milestone represents a real problem we identified and began building a solution for.
Whether you run an NGO, lead a CSR team or fund social change — PATVAAR is the infrastructure India's impact sector has been waiting for. Join us while it's being built.
